Getting Paid

A lot of work goes into getting fighters opportunities. Most of the work of a manager is unseen. The phone calls, the strategy and tactics it takes is fairly unappreciated, especially when you are making magic for multiple clients. Fighters and fans only see the end result. All is well that ends with a paycheck. However, it dampers the success of executing when you have to chase the fighter for your percentage.

Don't dance around the conversation of compensation with your client.

Help your client practice sound business principles by encouraging them to pay their team promptly.

If possible, ask your client if the promoter can cut you a check for your % on the night of the fight.

Do whatever is necessary to secure your managerial bag. Don't dance around the topic.

Get straight to it.
